Gary Cupersmith boasts a distinguished career spanning over 32 years in law enforcement, during which he has investigated and supervised a wide array of high-profile criminal cases. His extensive experience includes managing fugitive task forces and leading tactical teams, showcasing his expertise in handling complex and high-stakes investigations.

 

Gary’s career began with the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, where he dedicated 16 years to serving as a detective. During this time, he tackled a variety of significant cases, refining his skills in criminal investigations and developing a deep understanding of law enforcement procedures. His role at the Sheriff’s Department laid a solid foundation for his future work and established him as a capable and reliable investigator.

 

In 2007, Gary transitioned to the Riverside County District Attorney’s Office, where he spent the next 16 years in a pivotal role as a Senior Investigator and Supervisor. In this capacity, Gary managed numerous investigations, supervised investigative teams, and played a crucial role in solving complex cases. His leadership and expertise were instrumental in coordinating high-profile criminal investigations and ensuring effective case resolution.

 

One of Gary’s notable achievements was his nearly eight-year tenure with the Foreign Prosecution Unit, where he served as a cross-sworn U.S. Marshal Task Force Officer. This role allowed him to specialize in foreign investigations, where he applied his skills to investigate and locate fugitives and individuals of interest on an international scale. 

 

His work involved extensive collaboration with a range of international and governmental entities, including Mexican authorities, U.S. Embassies in various countries, Interpol, the Department of Diplomatic Security, and the Office of International Affairs in Washington D.C. These partnerships required Gary to navigate complex legal and diplomatic landscapes, enhancing his proficiency in handling cross-border investigations and international law enforcement matters.

 

Gary’s specialties extend to inculpatory investigations, where he excels in gathering and analyzing evidence that implicates individuals in criminal activities. His thorough approach ensures that investigations are comprehensive and that the evidence collected is robust and admissible in court. Additionally, Gary has significant expertise in site security, focusing on the protection and safety of locations involved in high-profile cases. His responsibilities in this area included implementing security measures, managing potential threats, and ensuring that sites remain secure during critical investigations.

Doug now leads Virtual Cyber Cop, focusing on cyber crime solutions.

Dennis Vrooman, former Undersheriff of Riverside County, oversaw 4,000 personnel in the state’s second largest Sheriff’s Office, where he played a pivotal role in managing complex law enforcement operations.
