Kris brings 25 years of comprehensive law enforcement experience to his role, with a career that began at the Rialto Police Department. During his time as a detective with RPD, Kris tackled a wide array of critical cases. His investigative work spanned several high-priority areas, including narcotics, where he conducted complex operations to combat drug-related crime, internal affairs, where he scrutinized allegations of misconduct within the police force, and homicides, where he worked on solving some of the most serious and challenging cases.
In 2006, Kris transitioned to the Riverside County District Attorney’s Office, marking a significant shift in his career focus. At the DA’s Office, he initially contributed his expertise to the child sexual abuse division, where he dealt with particularly sensitive and emotionally charged cases involving child victims. His role in this division required a high level of skill and compassion, as he navigated the complexities of these challenging investigations. Over time, Kris expanded his focus to include insurance fraud and other white-collar crimes, applying his investigative acumen to uncover fraudulent activities that often involved intricate financial schemes and deceptive practices.
In 2016, Kris took on a new and pivotal role as the lead polygraph examiner. In this capacity, he conducted numerous polygraph examinations across a wide range of suspects and case types. His expertise in this area is supported by his graduation from the highly esteemed Northeast Counterdrug Training Center’s Polygraph Program in Pennsylvania, which is renowned for its rigorous and comprehensive training in polygraph techniques. This specialized training has equipped Kris with advanced skills in administering and interpreting polygraph tests, making him a crucial asset in investigations requiring this level of forensic analysis.
Educationally, Kris holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from California State University, San Bernardino. This academic background provided him with a strong foundation in political systems, law, and policy, which has complemented his practical law enforcement experience and enhanced his ability to navigate complex legal and investigative scenarios.

His investigative acumen extends to white-collar crimes, with particular expertise in uncovering worker’s compensation fraud, insurance fraud, and employee theft. These specialties enable Kris to handle complex cases that require a deep understanding of both criminal behavior and financial misconduct.
