Paul Pantani
Investigator
Paul Pantani is a seasoned law enforcement executive and educator with more than three decades of experience in criminal investigations, leadership, and strategic operations. Currently serving as Bureau Commander at the Riverside County District Attorney’s Office, Paul leads multiple specialized investigative units, overseeing both sworn and non-sworn personnel. His work involves managing high-level fraud, cybercrime, regulatory, and environmental investigations, as well as coordinating multi-jurisdictional task forces.
Prior to this role, Paul served as a Supervising Investigator and Senior Investigator II within the DA’s Office, where he led complex fraud and digital forensics operations, developed training programs, and mentored investigative teams. His field experience includes undercover operations, surveillance, execution of search warrants, and collaboration with prosecutors and stakeholders across the justice system.
In addition to his public service, Paul is also an adjunct professor in graduate-level cybersecurity programs at Utica College and Champlain College, where he integrates real-world investigative knowledge into his curriculum. He is the creator and host of the “Transition Drill Podcast,” where he engages with former first responders and veterans on topics of career change and mental health.
Paul holds a Master’s degree in Economic Crime Management, a Bachelor’s in Occupational Studies, and an Associate’s in Administration of Justice. His leadership, technical knowledge, and commitment to mentorship make him a highly respected figure in both law enforcement and education.
Paul has served in high-ranking leadership roles within the Riverside DA’s Office, including Bureau Commander and Supervising Investigator. He has overseen entire investigative divisions, managed multi-jurisdictional task forces, allocated resources, handled personnel development, and shaped policy, demonstrating advanced operational and administrative command skills.
With a Master’s in Economic Crime Management and years of hands-on experience, Paul has led investigations involving internet crimes, digital forensics, financial fraud, intellectual property theft, and regulatory violations. His technical and analytical capabilities have made him a key asset in prosecuting complex white-collar crime.
Paul is an active adjunct professor in cybersecurity graduate programs and a podcast host focused on supporting law enforcement and veterans in transition. He’s known for mentoring investigators, designing training programs, and delivering public presentations—bridging practical experience with professional development and mental health advocacy.
